Brittany Lincicome claimed her second major championship at the ANA Inspiration, the first major of the year, with a par on the third sudden-death playoff hole at Mission Hills Country Club in California to beat fellow American Stacy Lewis. The duo finished tied at 9-under par in regulation while Morgan Pressel finished solo third at 8-under par.
It was a successful week for the Americans and Europeans alike with so many potential Solheim Cup players on the leader board.
There were eight players from the United States and seven Europeans in the top 20, with victorious 2013 team members Carlota Ciganda and Anna Nordqvist sharing fourth place on seven-under par.
Fellow team member Suzann Pettersen tied for eighth place on five-under par.
